 "THE 3RD-EYE OPENER"
is basically an exercise in Black edutainment that teaches us to
know ourselves, love ourselves, respect ourselves, and to love God.
It debunks a lot of the miseducation we've been taught and replaces
our sagging self-esteem with Black pride. It is designed to bring
back the true essence of what it means to be Black and how we can be
our beautiful best once again. Hip-hop beats are used to attract the
youth because the ears of the youth are tuned to hip-hop/rap. So if
the beats in hip-hop can be used to drive home negative messages, my
strategy was to use those same beats to drive home positive ones. |
